Baltimore Oriole

Out of the corner of your eye you notice a quick flash of bright orange that is gone in an instant. A Baltimore Oriole! This brilliant male arrives in our area the first week in May. He will belt out his playful song as he maps out his nesting territory. The nest consists of grasses weaved together to form an oblong hanging nest. A good way to attract orioles into your yard is by putting out oranges, their favorite treat.
