Bay-breasted Warbler
|
The Bay-breasted Warbler winters in Central America and Venezuela. It makes its way across the Gulf before coming to Cape Cod in mid-May. This bird feasts on insects and is especially fond of budworms. In the fall it may also eat berries. The high-pitched call of the Bay-breasted can be heard in the northern coniferous forests of Canada and Northern Maine where they breed.
