Canada Warbler
|
Traveling to his breeding grounds this male Canada
Warbler made a quick stopover on Wing Island for rest and refreshment. Canada Warblers breed in the
forested, wetland areas of Massachusetts north to the boreal forests of Canada. Their loosely woven
nests are often placed on or near the ground. Insects and spiders are their main source of food,
either catching them on the wing, gleaning from leaves, and ground feeding.
