Magnolia Warbler

With a flick of his tail to show off his white patches, the male Magnolia Warbler tries to entice a female to become his mate. Magnolia Warblers pass through Wing Island on their way north to breed in stands of spruce, balsam or hemlock. They also breed in the Appalachian Mountains. They prefer to nest in young firs and often line the nest with small rootlets or hairs. Magnolias winter in Mexico, Central America, and occasionally as far south as Columbia
