Nashville Warbler

Migrating north in spring, Nashville Warblers search for insects among budding and flowering trees. They are one of the smaller warblers, weighing a mere 8 or 9 grams. Nashvilles prefer to build their mossy nest on the ground near swamps and bogs. Four to five reddish-brown, spotted white eggs are incubate solely by the female while the male brings her food and defends the territory. Nashville Warblers can live up to 7 years according to banding records.
