Northern Parula
| The Northern Parula
is one of our smallest warblers. The female, pictured above, lacks the
dark lores and chesnut and black chest bands of the male. They prefer
to nest in moist woodlands where bearded lichens or Spanish Moss grow.
The male sings a buzzy ascending trill during breeding season
