Warbling Vireo
|
Appearing inconspicuously dressed, this
warbling songster can be heard singing throughout the day. They weave their plant fiber nests
anywhere from 8 to 40 ft high on slender limbs and lay four whitish eggs that are covered with
brown speckles. Warbling Vireos summer in Canada south to Virginia and Baja California and spend
their winters in Mexico and Central America.
